New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again postponed his planned visit to India, which was scheduled for later this year. The decision comes in the wake of the recent blast in Delhi, which raised fresh security concerns. According to sources, once the security review is completed, new dates for his visit will likely be finalized for next year. Netanyahu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were expected to meet at the end of this year during his planned trip.

This is not the first time Netanyahu has cancelled his India visit. He was originally set to visit on September 9, but the trip was postponed due to a scheduling conflict with Israel’s national elections on September 17. Earlier in April, another planned visit was also cancelled.

Netanyahu last visited India in January 2018. Prime Minister Modi visited Israel in 2017, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to do so. The strong personal rapport between the two leaders is frequently highlighted in the media of both countries.

Recently, Netanyahu’s party shared images featuring PM Modi, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Russian President Vladimir Putin to showcase its global political influence. Analysts believe that Netanyahu’s now-postponed India visit was also part of this broader political strategy.
