Benjamin Netanyahu warns against threats to Israel, reacts strongly to Pakistan minister’s remarks
Netanyahu issues strong warning after Pakistan minister’s remarks, stressing Israel’s security and rejecting any threats to its existence.

Tel Aviv (The Uttam Hindu): Tensions in West Asia escalated sharply after Israel launched a major strike on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, just hours after a ceasefire involving the US and Iran was announced. The attack drew strong international reactions including criticism from Pakistan, triggering a sharp response from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Responding to remarks made by Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Netanyahu issued a stern warning stating that any calls for Israel’s destruction are unacceptable. In a post on social media, he described such statements as deeply disturbing and said no government especially one claiming neutrality in peace efforts should make such remarks.
Pakistan, meanwhile, strongly condemned Israel’s actions in Lebanon calling them a violation of international law and humanitarian principles. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed concern over the situation during a conversation with Lebanon’s leadership reiterating support for peace efforts and an immediate halt to hostilities.
The situation remains tense as both sides exchange strong statements. The recent Israeli strikes reportedly caused heavy casualties, further complicating diplomatic efforts in the region and raising concerns about stability in WestAsia.
