Washington (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has said he has nothing to hide regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case. During an informal conversation with reporters on Air Force One, Trump clarified that he had no connection to the case and that he had already been exonerated in the investigation.
Responding to questions raised by his opponents, Trump said, "I have nothing to hide. I've been completely cleared in this matter. I have no connection to Jeffrey Epstein." He dismissed the allegations as baseless and said he was being dragged into the case for political reasons.
Trump also claimed that Jeffrey Epstein wasn't supporting his political career, but rather working against him. According to Trump, Epstein was conspiring with a writer to prevent him from winning the election. "The truth is, Epstein was working against my victory," he said.
Epstein faced serious charges of sex trafficking and exploitation of minors. He died in prison in 2019. Epstein's influential and high-profile connections have been a topic of debate in American politics.
Recently, the US Justice Department released several additional documents related to Epstein. These documents were released under a law aimed at clarifying what the government knew about Epstein's alleged sexual abuse and his connections to influential people. The Justice Department has made public more than 3 million pages of documents in the latest disclosure. These documents were released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was enacted after prolonged public and political pressure.
