US intelligence chief warns Pakistan poses a significant nuclear threat, highlighting rising global security concerns and geopolitical risks.

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard said Pakistan is among the major nuclear threats facing the United States. She grouped it with countries like Russia and China and raised concern over growing missile capabilities in several nations including Iran.
She told lawmakers that countries such as Russia China North Korea Iran and Pakistan are developing advanced missile systems that can carry nuclear or conventional payloads. These systems may have the range to reach the United States and their numbers are expected to rise sharply. Intelligence estimates suggest such missiles could grow from around 3000 now to over 16000 by 2035.
Gabbard also pointed to closer ties between North Korea Russia and China which signals deeper strategic cooperation. On Iran she said its nuclear program has been weakened and there is no clear evidence of revival efforts. Earlier Donald Trump had also named Pakistan among countries actively testing nuclear weapons along with Russia China and North Korea.
