Kathmandu (The Uttam Hindu): Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned from his post after massive protests led by Gen Z shook the country.
The protests erupted against the government’s decision to ban social media platforms, which angered thousands of young people. The situation turned violent when police opened fire on protestors, leading to the death of several people.
Soon after announcing his resignation, Oli boarded a military helicopter and left for an unknown location. The political situation in Nepal remains tense with uncertainty about who will take charge of the government.
