Pak Army Chief Munir Khan faces insult, MP calls him ‘salesman’ in parliament

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): After suffering a crushing defeat from India in Operation Sindoor, Pakistan now appears to be seeking refuge in the United States. The situation is such that President Donald Trump, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir are lavishing praise. However, Munir's US visit has become mired in controversy within Pakistan. Opposition leaders have called it an insult to the country.
Pakistani MP Aimal Wali Khan questioned in Parliament what authority Asim Munir had given Trump rare earth minerals. A recent viral photo showed Munir showing President Trump a briefcase filled with colorful stones. The MP sarcastically remarked that Munir "looked like a salesman trying to sell his wares at any cost."
The MP sarcastically said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was merely overseeing this entire "drama" as a manager. He said that the army chief was attending diplomatic meetings, which was a mockery of the country and the Constitution. "This is not democracy but dictatorship, and Parliament is being disrespected."
It should be noted that a photo surfaced of a meeting between Trump, Shahbaz Sharif, and General Munir at the White House. In the photo, Munir was seen pointing to a wooden box filled with rare minerals. Trump then praised both Pakistani leaders.
