New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Despite Pakistan’s efforts, Malaysia has approved all scheduled programs for India’s nine-member delegation under ‘Operation Sindoor’. Pakistan had appealed to Malaysia to cancel these programs after raising the Kashmir issue at the UN, but the Malaysian government flatly rejected the request.

According to sources, Pakistan tried to influence Malaysian officials by invoking Islamic solidarity. The Pakistani embassy reportedly said, “We are an Islamic country, you are an Islamic country—do not entertain the Indian delegation, cancel their programs.” However, Malaysia remained neutral and granted approval to all 10 planned events.

Led by Sanjay Jha, the Indian all-party parliamentary delegation met Dr. Johari bin Abdul, Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives, and apprised him of India’s strong policy against terrorism. The Indian High Commission shared this update on social media platform X. The delegation urged Malaysian MPs to support India in the global fight against terrorism, to which Malaysia reaffirmed its commitment to peace.

The delegation also held key meetings with YB Wong Chen, Chair of Malaysia’s Special Parliamentary Committee, and Datin Paduka Noor Ashikin Mohd Taib, Director General of the Southeast Asia Regional Centre for Counter-Terrorism (SEARCCT). During the discussions, they highlighted the recent terror attack in Pahalgam and reiterated India's zero-tolerance approach.

Notably, after launching ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has sent parliamentary delegations to seven countries to expose Pakistan’s pro-terror stance on the global stage. The Malaysia visit marks a major diplomatic win for India.
