New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the expansion of bullet trains on a large scale in India in partnership with Japan. Along with this, cooperation between the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) was also announced for the Chandrayaan-5 mission.


ISRO and JAXA will work together

Prime Minister Modi said that we welcome the cooperation between ISRO and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) for Chandrayaan-5 mission. Our active participation has gone beyond the limits of the Earth and will symbolize mankind's progress in space. Prime Minister Modi announced the cooperation between the Indian and Japanese space agencies during a joint briefing after talks with his Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba in Tokyo. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said after talks with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba that we have prepared a roadmap of cooperation for the next decade. Today our discussions were useful and purposeful.


Bullet train will run for 7000 kilometers in India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced large-scale expansion of bullet trains in India in partnership with Japan. PM Modi said in Japan that the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (Bullet Train) is a major project between India and Japan. Our target is to start passenger services on it in a few years. During this, he told that apart from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project, the target is to build a 7,000 km long network of high speed rail (Bullet Train) in the country.


Japan to invest 10 trillion yen in India in 10 years

Modi, who was accompanied by Ishiba, said in his media statement that we have set a target of investing 10 trillion yen from Japan in India in the next 10 years. The Prime Minister, who arrived in Tokyo, said that India-Japan cooperation is important for global peace and stability and both sides have laid a strong foundation for a "new and golden chapter" in the partnership. He said that we have prepared a 10-year roadmap for cooperation in many areas including investment, innovation and economic security. In his address, the Prime Minister said that India and Japan are fully committed to a free, open, peaceful, prosperous and rule-based Indo-Pacific region. Both sides also decided to further strengthen cooperation in the field of defense industry and innovation.


Japan's support from defense to maritime security

PM Modi said that cooperation in the defense sector between India and Japan is also a big success story. Both countries have a common interest in the peace, security and stability of the Indo-Pacific region. Today our partnership extends to the three armies. We regularly conduct bilateral and multilateral exercises. We are building a strong defense equipment and technical cooperation.
