Russia-Ukraine Conflict Escalates: 11 Villages Evacuated, 50,000 Russian Troops Deployed

Kiev (The Uttam Hindu): Tension is constantly increasing on the border between Russia and Ukraine. According to the report of "The Moscow Times", Russia has deployed 50 thousand soldiers on the other side of the border. Along with this, a claim has also been made to occupy many villages of Ukraine. Amidst the fear of increasing aggression of Russia in the border area, Ukraine on Saturday issued an order to evacuate 11 more villages of Sumy region adjacent to the Russian border. This step has been taken at a time when the fear is increasing that Russia is again preparing for a ground attack.
For a long time, Russia and Ukraine have been carrying out drone and air attacks on each other, but according to the latest reports, Russia has deployed more than 50,000 troops on the other side of the border with the intention of attacking Ukraine again on the ground. Along with this, it has captured several villages in the northeastern Ukrainian region. Kiev has also confirmed this and said that Russia has taken control of several villages near the Sumy region in recent weeks.
Ukrainian Border Service spokesman Andriy Demchenko warned on Thursday that Russia could attempt an attack on Sumy. Ukrainian authorities said the decision to evacuate villages located about 30 kilometers from the border was taken due to "continuous shelling of border communities and the threat to civilian lives." So far, 213 settlements in the Sumy region have been ordered to be evacuated. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Saturday that its troops had also captured another village in the Sumy region, Vodolagai.
