Riyadh (The Uttam Hindu): Saudi Arabia has taken a strong diplomatic step by ordering Iranian embassy officials to leave the country within 24 hours. The move comes amid rising tensions in the Gulf region following recent actions linked to Iran.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said Iran has violated international agreements and failed to respect the sovereignty of neighboring countries. It also accused Tehran of breaching the Beijing Agreement and a UN Security Council resolution, warning that such actions threaten regional stability and unity.

Saudi authorities stated that despite repeated warnings Iran continues activities that target nearby nations and pose serious risks. The government affirmed it will take all necessary measures to safeguard national security. It also confirmed that an Iranian drone was shot down and three ballistic missiles aimed at Riyadh were intercepted midair
