Islamabad (The Uttam Hindu): A suicide attack took place at the main gate of the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters in Chagai’s Nokundi area of Pakistan’s Balochistan province. According to initial reports, six soldiers have been confirmed dead in the attack. The assault was reportedly carried out by the Sado Operational Battalion of the Balochistan Liberation Front. Authorities have also confirmed that all the attackers were killed.

The blast was so powerful that the main entrance gate was completely destroyed, and nearby walls suffered major damage. Pakistani officials stated that soon after the SVBIED (vehicle-borne suicide bomb) explosion at the entrance, armed attackers entered the FC headquarters.

A gunfight broke out inside the premises between the attackers and the security personnel. Following the incident, an emergency was declared in all nearby hospitals, and two helicopters were dispatched from Quetta for assistance. So far, no group has formally claimed responsibility for the attack.

In recent months, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has increased its attacks on Pakistani security installations. The escalation began on March 11 when militants targeted a train carrying around 440 passengers. Since then, the same train has been attacked repeatedly, with multiple explosions and rocket strikes reported in June, August, September, and October.
