Tarique Rehman to take oath as Bangladesh PM on Feb 17, India among 13 invited countries

Dhaka (The Uttam Hindu): After the formation of the new government in Bangladesh, Prime Minister Tariq Rahman will be sworn in on February 17. Representatives from 13 countries, including India, have been invited to the swearing-in ceremony. According to government sources, the ceremony will be held in the capital, Dhaka. High-level representatives from South Asia and other friendly countries will participate in it. Political activities have intensified in the country regarding the formation of the new government, and preparations at the administrative level are in the final stages.
The swearing-in ceremony is reportedly being viewed as an opportunity to strengthen regional cooperation and diplomatic ties. Emphasis will also be placed on reorienting relations with neighboring countries. The government has indicated that the new leadership team will prioritize economic reform, job creation, and infrastructure development. Furthermore, a special focus will be placed on balancing foreign policy and advancing regional partnerships.
