Washington DC (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has once again hinted at imposing tariffs on India. Talking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump said that India has been imposing higher tariffs on the US than any other country, but this will not happen now. Trump said, "India is our good friend, but it has adopted a one-sided attitude in trade with the US. Now that I am in charge, all this will be ended."

America can impose 20-25% tariff on India, President Trump hinted; said- now I am in charge: This statement has come at a time when some media reports claimed that India is preparing to impose tariffs of 20 to 25 percent on some products imported from America. Trump's reaction has come just before the possible tariffs come into effect from August 1.

However, Trump has not issued any official letter regarding India, as he has done earlier for other countries. Let us tell you that on April 2, the Trump administration had imposed tariffs on more than 100 countries, in which 26% tariff was also fixed on India. However, its implementation was later postponed for 90 days. During this, Trump once again claimed that he has played an important role in bringing about a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
