Technical snag reported in US President Trump’s Air Force One, aircraft returns before Davos trip

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): A technical issue was reported in US President Donald Trump’s aircraft, Air Force One, forcing it to return shortly after takeoff. According to reports, the incident occurred while President Trump was traveling to Switzerland. The aircraft developed an electrical problem, following which it was safely brought back to the Washington DC area. Officials described the issue as minor.
As per available information, President Trump’s plane took off on Tuesday evening for Switzerland but returned to Joint Base Andrews after about one hour. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the decision to turn back was taken after takeoff when the crew noticed a small electrical issue and chose to follow safety protocols.
A reporter onboard the aircraft said that soon after takeoff, the lights in the press cabin briefly went off. No immediate explanation was given at that time, but around half an hour later, passengers were informed that the plane was returning. It was later confirmed that President Trump would continue his journey to Davos to attend the World Economic Forum on a different aircraft.
