Washington (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has expressed deep disappointment with the Supreme Court's recent decision on tariffs. He said the decision could return hundreds of billions of dollars to countries and companies that have "exploited America for years." Trump, in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, urged the Supreme Court to reconsider the decision.

He wrote that after this decision, countries and companies that previously harmed the United States could now benefit even more. Trump questioned whether a rehearing or decision on the case was possible.

The Supreme Court's Decision

It's worth noting that on February 20, the Supreme Court of the United States, in a 6-3 majority decision, declared the global tariffs imposed by the Trump administration unconstitutional. The court stated that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) was misused in imposing the tariffs. Legal experts believe that granting a review petition in the Supreme Court is extremely rare, although the possibility cannot be ruled out theoretically.
