Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Former US President Donald Trump has once again stirred global attention by unveiling a new proposed map for Gaza. According to Trump’s plan, a buffer zone will be created along the Israel-Gaza border, redefining the territorial outlook of the conflict-prone region.

The map, highlighted with blue, yellow, and red demarcations, showcases how boundaries and control zones could be reorganized. Blue lines reportedly mark Israeli security boundaries, yellow indicates buffer or restricted movement areas, while red points to regions under Palestinian administrative authority.

This development comes at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East, where Israel’s security concerns and Gaza’s humanitarian crisis remain unresolved. Analysts suggest that such a reimagining of the Gaza map could alter future negotiations, though it has also triggered skepticism among Palestinian groups who see it as an attempt to legitimize territorial divisions without their consent.

Trump, while defending his vision, argued that “a secure border and defined zones are the only way forward for lasting peace.” However, critics argue that the proposal risks deepening mistrust rather than fostering reconciliation.

With no immediate acceptance from Israel or Palestinian authorities, the proposed Gaza map remains a point of global debate, raising questions about international diplomacy, sovereignty, and the role of external powers in regional disputes.
