Trump's final warning to Iran: Will destroy energy infrastructure if deal fails
This ultimatum comes as the US and Iran engage in "serious discussions" to end the month-long conflict

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): One month has passed since the devastating war between America and Israel with Iran, but it has not reached any conclusion yet. On one hand, US President Donald Trump is continuously claiming that talks are going on with Iran, while on the other hand, Iran is completely rejecting these claims. Meanwhile, Trump has given a very dangerous ultimatum to Iran. He has clearly warned that if Iran does not reach an agreement soon and does not open the Strait of Hormuz, then America will bomb its power plants, oil wells and Kharg Island and completely destroy them.
Entry of Houthi rebels and new threat looms
Trump's terrifying ultimatum comes at a time when Yemen's Houthi rebels have directly entered the ongoing war with Iran. Following the Strait of Hormuz, the strategically important Bab al-Mandeb Strait is now under significant threat. Just prior to this, Trump had ordered a halt to bombings of Iranian energy plants until April 6th and claimed that he was in serious talks with Iranian leaders regarding a peace agreement.
"Compromise or be prepared for disaster"
The US President has directly threatened Iran through a new post on his social media platform 'Truth Social'. Trump has written that America is in talks with a new and more sensible regime to end the military operation. He said that a lot of progress has been made in this, but if for any reason an agreement is not reached soon and the Strait of Hormuz is not opened immediately, then America will end this operation in a horrific manner. He openly threatened that all the power plants, oil wells, Kharg Island and water desalination plant of Iran will be bombed and reduced to dust.
Death of soldiers and revenge for 47 years of 'terror'
In his post, Trump also claimed that the US military has so far "deliberately" not attacked Iran's four most important economic targets (the power plant, Kharg Island, oil wells, and water desalination plant). Threatening to bomb, he further wrote that if destruction occurs, it will be revenge for the deaths of the many American soldiers brutally killed by Iran during the old regime's 47-year reign of terror. Trump's statement has intensified global concerns about a further escalation of the war.
