"I stopped eight wars, I want to be remembered as a great peacemaker"
In addition to this humorous and controversial statement, Trump also lavished praise on himself during his address to the summit. Responding to a question about his legacy and future, Trump proudly claimed that he wants the world to always remember him as a "great peacemaker." He said that his efforts had resolved eight major and devastating wars around the world, which meant he had saved millions of innocent lives.
Big claim made to end decades old bloody conflicts
Trump, listing the achievements of his peace efforts, explained that many of the wars he has calmed had been going on for decades. He claimed that some conflicts had been ongoing for as long as 34 years, 32 years, 29 years, and 22 years, with countless people being killed each year. The US President said that his actions in these conflict zones have prevented massive devastation. He himself admitted that it may not sound right to say this, but he truly believes that he is a true peacemaker for the world.
