New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a major escalation, the United States and Israel carried out joint military strikes on Iran, targeting several key locations. According to Mehr News Agency, multiple attacks were carried out on the strategically important Kharg Island, significantly intensifying tensions in the region. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned the US against crossing a “red line.”

Following Israeli warnings, precautionary measures were taken in Mashhad, where all railway services have been suspended. Authorities halted train operations from the central railway station until further notice, citing security concerns.

Meanwhile, another major attack was reported on the outskirts of Qom. Governor Morteza Heidari confirmed that a key bridge linked to communication infrastructure, located south of Tehran, was targeted in a missile strike. The bridge, situated in the western part of the city, reportedly suffered damage.

According to officials, the strikes were carried out within minutes, causing damage to local infrastructure. However, there have been no confirmed reports of major casualties so far.

Authorities have placed the entire region on high alert, and the situation continues to be closely monitored as tensions in the Middle East remain extremely volatile.
