China shields Iran from US-Israel strikes, fuels conflict with arms
US-China commission reports China secretly supplying Iran with offensive drones, rocket fuel chemicals, and satellite navigation, fuelling Middle East conflict

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): The war between the US, Israel, and Iran in the Middle East has now entered its 19th day. While the rapid attacks by the US and Israel have caused massive devastation in Iran, Iran, unwavering in its resolve, is continuously retaliating against Israel and the Gulf countries. Amidst this fierce conflict, a highly important commission of the US Congress, the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission, has made a shocking claim in its new report that has caused widespread uproar. According to this intelligence report, China is secretly providing Iran with offensive drones, dangerous rocket fuel chemicals, and satellite navigation systems, which are being used to launch devastating attacks in West Asia.
The deal for the cruise missile was also almost finalised
The report, titled "China-Iran Fact Sheet," released by the commission on Monday, clearly states that the Dragon was directly engaged in arms sales to Iran in the days immediately preceding the US and Israeli attacks in February 2026. The report reveals that China not only provided Iran with highly offensive drones, but a major deal to sell anti-ship cruise missiles was also nearly finalized between the two countries. Fortunately, the delivery date for the missiles was not finalized until the last minute.
Deadly chemical shipped from China to make rocket fuel
Another major claim made in this sensational report by the US commission is that China has given Iran free rein to sell sodium perchlorate, a crucial chemical used in making rocket fuel. It is reported that around March 2, 2026, two Iranian government ships departed from Gaolan port in China carrying a large consignment of this chemical. This dangerous chemical is used to make solid rocket fuel used in missiles. The report also states that earlier, in January 2025, China had secretly sent approximately 1,000 tons of sodium perchlorate to Iran.
Provided its own satellite navigation system for precise strikes
In addition to weapons and chemicals, the US commission also claims that the Dragon granted Iran full military-level access to its navigation satellite system in 2021. This system allows for precise targeting of weapons. According to the report, it is highly likely that Iran is currently directly using this same Chinese satellite system to launch drone and missile attacks on Israeli and US bases in West Asia.
