Speaking to the media in Maryland, US President Donald Trump said he is closely monitoring the situation and claimed that Iran is facing severe military setbacks. He also stated that the US military has the capability to destroy Tehran’s power capacity within an hour if necessary.

Trump claimed that the conflict is turning in favor of the US, asserting that Iran’s military infrastructure has been heavily damaged. According to him, Iran has lost much of its naval and air power as well as key defense systems. He added that the US has freedom of movement over Iranian territory and emphasized that the priority now is to ensure a quick and decisive outcome to the conflict without allowing tensions to escalate further.

The US president also said that American forces could target Iran’s electricity infrastructure, which he claimed could take decades to rebuild, though he added that such an action is not currently planned. Speaking at an event in Hebron, Kentucky, Trump defended the ongoing military campaign under Operation Epic Fury, stating that it has significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities over the past 11 days by targeting radar and anti-aircraft equipment factories. Meanwhile, the Iraqi group Saraya Awliya al-Dam has claimed responsibility for several attacks on US military bases in Iraq, though no official confirmation has been issued.
