New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Amid rising tensions with Iran, the United States has decided to significantly increase the production of advanced weapons. US President Donald Trump held a meeting on Friday with the CEOs of six major American defense companies. Sharing details on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said the companies agreed to increase the production of high-grade weapons by four times in order to quickly strengthen US military stockpiles. He stated that the goal is to boost weapons supply as quickly as possible.

Trump also said that the United States already has an almost unlimited supply of medium and upper-medium grade weapons, which have been used in operations involving Iran and recently in Venezuela. With the decision to expand production, new orders have now been issued.

The meeting included CEOs from major defense companies such as BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, L3Harris Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon Technologies. A previous agreement with Lockheed Martin already included plans to triple the production of PAC-3 missiles and increase the production of THAAD interceptors fourfold over several years.

Soon after the meeting at the White House, a spokesperson for Lockheed Martin confirmed that the company has agreed to increase production of the required weapons by four times. The spokesperson stated that under the guidance of US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Deputy Secretary Stephen Feinberg, the process had already begun and the company remains committed to strengthening the capabilities of the US military.
