Tel Aviv (The Uttam Hindu): Israel has once again launched a major and devastating attack on Iran. The Israeli Air Force has targeted several important Iranian locations by firing several ballistic missiles simultaneously. After this horrific attack, air raid sirens have started ringing across the country including the capital Tehran and high flames of fire and clouds of smoke are seen rising from many places. Leading Iranian newspaper Tehran Times has also confirmed these attacks and released horrific videos of the explosions. It is being said that Israel has carried out these powerful explosions at about 30 places simultaneously, due to which a war-like situation has arisen between the two countries.
Failure of nuclear talks and Trump's warning
This military action comes at a time when ongoing nuclear talks between the United States and Iran have been completely inconclusive. US President Donald Trump has been repeatedly threatening Iran with attacks, and the US military has already established a strategic blockade of Iran. The US wants to prevent Iran from enriching uranium and acquiring nuclear weapons at all costs. In contrast, Iran has clearly stated that it wants to become a nuclear-rich country for peaceful energy purposes and is not willing to give up its right to enrich uranium. This tension over the nuclear program has created the ground for this latest military confrontation.
Israel on high alert, schools and offices closed
Immediately after this rapid attack on Iran, alarm sirens have started ringing in Israel itself, fearing retaliation. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and the Air Force have sent emergency alerts to citizens' mobile phones, strictly instructing them to immediately stay near safe locations and bunkers. Sensitive areas are being evacuated for security reasons. In view of the gravity of the situation, the Israeli administration has completely banned all non-essential workplaces, educational institutions and public gatherings, and the entire country has been put on 'high alert' mode.
