White House dinner attacker entered with gun, inside story reveals chilling details
Inside story of White House dinner attack reveals detailed planning by suspect Cole Thomas Allen. Gunman arrested after firing; investigation into motive and network continues.

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): Shocking details have emerged about the planned attack during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, DC. Investigating agencies have revealed that the suspect, Cole Thomas Allen, carefully planned the attack over several weeks.
According to officials, Allen began preparations in advance for the high-profile event scheduled on April 25. Shortly after confirmation that President Donald Trump would attend the dinner, he booked a room at the same venue, the Washington Hilton. Records show he made a reservation on April 6 for a three-night stay from April 24 to April 26.
As part of his plan, Allen left his home near Los Angeles by train on April 21. He reached Chicago on April 23 and arrived in Washington, DC on April 24 at around 1 pm. He checked into the hotel at about 3 pm the same day, ensuring his presence inside the building during the event.
Investigators found that Allen had detailed information about the event timing and the presence of top officials. The dinner began around 8 pm and was attended by the President, Vice President, and several senior cabinet members.
At approximately 8:40 pm, Allen attempted to carry out the attack. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that the suspect moved toward a security checkpoint located on the terrace level, one floor above the ballroom.
Reports indicate that Allen was carrying a long firearm and ran through a metal detector. Moments later, gunshots were heard, causing panic, and security personnel immediately responded.
During the incident, a Secret Service officer was shot in the chest but survived due to a bulletproof vest. The officer returned fire, after which Allen was subdued and arrested.
Officials emphasized that the attack was not spontaneous but carefully planned. Todd Blanche said it was the result of long-term preparation. US Attorney Jeanine Pirro also noted that the suspect intended to reach the ballroom but was stopped in time by security forces.
Investigations further revealed that Allen had purchased weapons in California and transported them across state lines to Washington, which forms a key part of the federal charges.
The investigation is ongoing, with agencies examining his hotel room, electronic devices, and travel records to determine the full extent of the plan.
