491 Pilgrims Return Without Darshan as Kartarpur Corridor Closes After Air Strike on Pakistan

Gurdaspur (The Uttam Hindu): Amid the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, India targeted terrorist hideouts in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor on Tuesday night. In view of this, flights were canceled at many airports across the country and holiday was declared in schools in border districts.

As a part of this security measure, the Sri Kartarpur Sahib corridor was also closed. 491 devotees who arrived for darshan at 8:30 am on Wednesday returned disappointed after waiting for three hours. Citing security conditions, the officials have announced that the corridor will remain closed till further orders.

Due to the cancellation of the process for Darshan starting at 8:30 AM, the devotees were not able to have darshan of the Gurudwara. Even before this, instructions have been issued to tighten security during the period of tension
