Balochistan Breaks Free: Mir Yar Baloch Declares Independence from Pakistan, Watch VIDEO

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Amid the current tension between India and Pakistan, 'Republic of Balochistan' started trending on social media platform X on Wednesday. Supporters of Balochistan's independence have also shared a map of independent Balochistan on social media. Balochistan has declared independence from Pakistan.

Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch on Wednesday declared independence from Pakistan over decades of violence, enforced disappearances and human rights violations in the state. He said Balochistan is not Pakistan. He demanded support from India and the global community for independence. He wrote on Instagram that the people of Balochistan have given their decision. Now the world should not remain silent. He said the people of Balochistan are on the streets. They say you will kill us, we will break, we will save our honour, come and support us. He has urged Indian citizens, especially the media, YouTubers and intellectuals, to avoid calling the Baloch 'Pakistan's own people'.

Mir Yar Baloch said that the world should not trust Pakistan's one-sided statement. He said that we are not Pakistanis. We are Balochis. Pakistan's own people are Punjabis. Who never faced aerial bombing, forced disappearances and genocide. Pakistan could not produce a single paper and legal document proving the signature of the representatives of the leader of Balochistan and the participation of international or third country in the ceremony of joining Balochistan to Pakistan on 27 March 1948.Mir Yar Baloch had shared photos of locals standing with banners depicting India and Baloch friendship. He wrote that 'The people of the Democratic Republic of Balochistan have come to show their full support to the people of India. China is helping Pakistan, but Balochistan and its people are the government of India.' His previous post read, 'Dear Narendra Modi ji, you are not alone, you have the support of 6 crore Baloch patriots.'

Let us tell you that there have been serious violations of human rights in Balochistan for a long time. This includes forced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and suppression of dissent. Both Pakistani security forces and armed groups have been accused of human rights violations. Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch supported India's decision to ask Pakistan to vacate occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He wrote on X that Balochistan fully supports India's decision to ask Pakistan to vacate occupied Jammu and Kashmir on 14 May 2025. The international community should urge Pakistan to immediately leave occupied Jammu and Kashmir so that its 93000 military personnel in Dhaka can be saved from another humiliation of surrender.
