Jalandhar Observes 2-Day Ban on Meat, Eggs and Liquor Sale; Know the Reason

Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): In preparation for Bhagat Kabir Ji's Prakash Parv, the district administration has imposed a two-day ban on the sale of meat, eggs and liquor in Jalandhar. The ban will be in effect on June 10 and June 11.

Details of the Ban

1. June 10: Shops selling meat, eggs and liquor near Bhagat Kabir Ji's temple and the starting route of the procession will remain closed.

2. June 11: Shops selling meat, eggs and liquor will remain closed on the entire route of the procession and in the area around the temple.

The decision was made to maintain law and order and respect religious sentiments during the celebration of Bhagat Kabir Ji's Prakash Parv. The Additional District Magistrate has issued an order in this regard, ensuring a peaceful and respectful environment for the festivities.
