'Where is Masood Azhar? If India Gives Proof, We’ll Arrest Him!” – Bilawal Bhutto Sparks Storm with Explosive Statement
Islamabad (The Uttam Hindu): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has made a big statement about the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed’s chief, Masood Azhar.
Bilawal Bhutto said that Pakistan does not know where Masood Azhar is. He stated that if India provides concrete evidence that Masood Azhar is in Pakistan, he will be arrested. He made these remarks during an interview with Al Jazeera.
“Pakistan does not know the whereabouts of Masood Azhar. If India provides evidence, we will arrest him,” Bilawal Bhutto’s big statement. Bilawal further said that India has not yet provided any proof of Azhar’s presence in Pakistan. He added, “If India gives evidence, we will take action.” Bhutto also suggested that Azhar could be in Afghanistan, and remarked that if NATO couldn’t capture him there, expecting Pakistan to arrest him is not practical.
It is worth noting that after the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). During this operation, 10 relatives of Masood Azhar were killed. Following that, a message from Masood Azhar emerged in which he expressed grief over the deaths of his family members.
Masood Azhar is a notorious terrorist and the founder and chief of the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed. His full name is Maulana Masood Azhar Alvi. He was born on July 10, 1968, in Bahawalpur, Punjab province, Pakistan. He is one of 11 siblings; his father was a headmaster at a government school.
He studied at Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia in Karachi before becoming involved in terrorist activities. Masood Azhar has been accused of masterminding several terror attacks in India, including the 2019 Pulwama attack that killed 40 CRPF soldiers.
