Bomb Alert Triggers Panic at New Delhi Railway Station After Blue Suitcase Found

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): There was information about a bomb in a bag at New Delhi Railway Station. On receiving the information, apart from the railway police, teams like bomb squad, dog squad, fire, CAT ambulance etc. reached the spot and searched every inch of the station. The information of bomb being found at the station created a stir in the administration. At around 8 am on Saturday, the PS-NDRS control room of Station Protection Force (SPF) received information about a blue coloured suitcase lying at Gate No. 8 (near Ajmeri Gate).

As soon as the information was received, teams of Railway Police, Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), Dog Squad, Fire Brigade and CAT Ambulance immediately reached the spot. Platforms 7–8 were evacuated and a thorough search was conducted, but no suspicious object was found.

Railway security officials said that no explosives or other dangerous items were found inside the suitcase during the search as per the prescribed protocol. All the investigation teams have completed the step-by-step search at various places and have restored the station operations to normal.
