New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The world of creatures found in nature is full of mysteries. A small member of this world is the 'Bombardier Beetle', which is known for its unique and extremely effective defense system. This ordinary-looking insect sprays boiling chemical spray on its enemies as soon as it senses danger, which forces any predator to retreat in a moment.

The bombardier beetle has a special system inside its body. Two chemicals called hydrogen peroxide and hydroquinones are stored in two separate chambers in its stomach. Whenever this insect senses danger from a predator, it mixes these two chemicals in a special chamber inside its body.

As soon as these two chemicals mix, a strong chemical reaction takes place. This reaction is so intense that the temperature of the mixture formed reaches about 100 degrees Celsius, like boiling water. When the beetle sprays this boiling acid on the enemy from the rear part of its abdomen, a loud 'pop' sound is heard and harmful steam is released. This hot spray can severely burn the enemy and force it to flee immediately. The most interesting thing is that this insect can attack with precision in any direction by rotating its body.
