Calls for Seema Haider's Deportation Intensify, Former Ally Joins Chorus

Noida (The Uttam Hindu): Seema Haider, who came to India illegally from Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, is once again in the headlines. After this attack and the Indian government's changed tough stand towards Pakistan, the demand to send Seema Haider back to her country has once again started gaining momentum. The surprising thing is that now Seema Haider's former lawyer Hemant Parashar himself has demanded to send her back to Pakistan.

Hemant Parashar, the lawyer who got bail for Seema Haider and Sachin Meena, said in a media interaction that Pakistan is our enemy country and Seema Haider is a citizen of the same enemy country who has entered India illegally. In such a situation, she should be deported immediately. He further said that even if Seema has become a mother, there will be no legal obstacle in deporting her. If the government wants, it can suspend the ongoing case against her and send her back.

Parashar claimed that earlier, women coming from Pakistan and becoming mothers in India might get citizenship, but now the law has changed. Therefore, Seema Haider will not get Indian citizenship under any circumstances. He also questioned the claim of Seema's current lawyer AP Singh that Seema's documents are deposited with the Home Ministry and ATS. Parashar said that if the documents are deposited, then they should be made public, whereas the reality is that none of her documents are deposited and neither will she get citizenship.

Let us tell you that while on one hand there is a demand to send Seema Haider back, on the other hand, Seema Haider herself is completely silent in this matter for the last 10-11 days. There is no activity on her social media account either. On the other hand, her current lawyer AP Singh is constantly advocating not to send Seema back. He argues that Seema's case is pending in the court, all the documents are with the government agencies, she is following the conditions of bail, and recently she has given birth to a baby girl in India.

Amidst the tough measures being taken by the Indian Government against Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack, Seema Haider's case has once again become sensitive, and now the demand of her former lawyer has further fuelled the debate.
