Joy Turns into Tragedy: Truck Rams Car Returning from Wedding, 5 Baraatis Killed on Spot
Balrampur (The Uttam Hindu): In a tragic road accident in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday morning, 5 baraatis returning from a wedding died on the spot. The accident took place near Chakwa village on Bahraich road, where a speeding truck hit an Ertiga car. There were a total of 12 people in the car, out of which the rest of the injured passengers have been admitted to the hospital.
Happiness turned into mourning: A truck hit a car returning from a wedding, 5 baraatis died on the spot : This accident occurred when the wedding procession of Babbiraj, son of Ram Sevak, a resident of Madhya Nagar village of Itiyathok police station area of Gonda district, was returning from Veerpur Bhulaiya village of Shravasti. The wedding guests left for Gonda late at night in an Ertiga car, but a speeding truck hit their car near Chakva village of Balrampur. Seven other wedding guests present in the car were seriously injured and have been admitted to the District Memorial Hospital. A team of doctors is keeping an eye on their condition.
As soon as the incident was reported, local police and administrative officials reached the spot. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The police have started searching for the truck driver, who fled after the accident.
