Tehran/Ashgabat (The Uttam Hindu): A small neighbouring country has emerged as a savior for Iran, which is facing continuous Israeli airstrikes. Turkmenistan has opened its borders to help Iran before big countries like Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Through this, Iran has safely evacuated about 120 diplomats and their families trapped in its country.

It is worth noting that Israel has recently carried out a series of attacks on Iran's capital Tehran, due to which there is chaos in the city and a large number of people are fleeing. Long queues of vehicles can be seen on the roads of Tehran. In such a time of crisis, Turkmenistan's President Sardar Berdimuhamedov has taken a humanitarian step and opened the country's borders, which has brought great relief to Iran.

The Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan issued an official statement informing about this decision. The statement said that the border has been opened for foreign diplomats present in Iran, their families and other needy citizens. In the initial phase, about 120 diplomats and their families from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have been evacuated from Iran and safely brought to Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan has not only opened the borders but has also arranged food, accommodation and other essential items for the people coming from Iran. The Turkmenistan government is ensuring that no one coming from Iran faces any inconvenience and that the process goes on smoothly.

Meanwhile, the Czech Republic is also sending planes to evacuate its citizens stranded in Iran. The Czech Foreign Ministry has also issued an advisory for its citizens, in which this arrangement has been made for those who wish to leave Iran. Additionally, for those citizens who want to return to their country, another plane sent by the Slovakian government to Jordan will be used.
