Patiala(The Uttam Hindu): A devastating road accident in Patiala's Sadar Samana area has claimed the lives of five people, including four schoolchildren and the driver of a private vehicle. The incident occurred when an Innova car, transporting students from Bhupindra International Public School, collided with a tipper truck on Tuesday afternoon.

According to local authorities, the Innova was returning from school and was en route to drop students at their respective homes when it was involved in the fatal crash. Four children and the driver died on the spot, while two other passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
