Elon Musk says son’s middle name ‘Shekhar’ honors Indian nobel laureate Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar
WASHINGTON (The Uttam Hindu): Tesla, X, and Starlink owner Elon Musk made a significant revelation about his partner in a podcast with Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath. Musk described his partner Shivon Gillis's special connection to India. He also revealed that his son's middle name, Shekhar, has a special connection to an Indian-born scientist.
Elon Musk revealed that his partner is half Indian and has ancestral ties to India. Although she did not grow up in India, her father was from India. Musk's partner grew up in Canada and was adopted as a child. Shivaon's biological father is from India. However, Musk said that he does not know many details about this and hence cannot reveal much.
Additionally, Elon Musk revealed that Shivan and his son share the same middle name, Shekhar, after Indian-American scientist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1983.
Musk said, "I have several children from different partners, almost like an army. I'm trying to have a whole Roman army. Some of my children are now young, and many are still young. I try to spend time with them. My sons are independent, they're going to university. But there are some children who are younger. I get to see them at night when I go to bed."
Shivon has been working in the field of technology and artificial intelligence for years. Shivon was born in Ontario, Canada, and studied economics and philosophy at Yale University. During her studies, she was also actively involved in sports, having played ice hockey as a goalkeeper in college. She subsequently worked at IBM and Bloomberg. In 2016, she began working on AI.
"I'm a big fan of anyone who wants to be a bully. So, I think I respect anyone who wants to earn more than they're capable of. Entrepreneurs should aim to be net contributors to society," Musk said, comparing the pursuit of money to the pursuit of happiness.
