Bengaluru (The Uttam Hindu): In a major crackdown on illegal rave parties, the Bengaluru Police raided a farmhouse on the outskirts of the city and detained 102 individuals, including several tech professionals, models, and students. The late-night raid took place in the Electronic City area, where loud music and suspected drug use had been reported.

According to police officials, the operation was conducted jointly by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) and the Narcotics Control Division, following a tip-off about a secret party being organized in violation of the state’s narcotics and public safety laws. When officers reached the venue, they found over a hundred attendees partying with DJ setups, strobe lights, and alcohol.

During the search, the police reportedly seized narcotic substances, including MDMA, cocaine, and marijuana, along with liquor bottles and sound equipment. All seized samples have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for testing.

The 102 people detained include 84 men and 18 women, among whom were several young professionals employed in Bengaluru’s IT sector. Police sources revealed that the event was organized through private social media groups and invitation-only messages to avoid detection.

Authorities have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and are interrogating the organizer and DJ to identify the source of the drugs and other participants involved.

Senior officers emphasized that the Bengaluru Police will continue their zero-tolerance policy against drug abuse and illegal parties, particularly those targeting urban youth. Surveillance has been increased at farmhouses and resorts located on the city’s outskirts, which are often used for such activities.
