Grand Kalash Yatra concludes; Shrimad Bhagavat Katha to begin with messages on de-addiction and women empowerment
A grand Kalash Yatra in Hoshiarpur marked the beginning of the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha, spreading messages of spirituality, de-addiction, and women empowerment, with large public participation and presence of prominent leaders.
Hoshiarpur (The Uttam Hindu): In a spiritually enriching and socially meaningful event, the Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, Hoshiarpur, organized a grand and divine Kalash Yatra to mark the auspicious beginning of the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha at Roshan Ground. The sacred discourse will be held from April 14 to April 20, daily from 7 PM to 10 PM, and will be narrated by Bhagavat Bhaskar Sadhvi Vaishnavi Bharti Ji, a disciple of Ashutosh Maharaj.
The Kalash Yatra commenced with Vedic chanting and traditional rituals conducted by Pandit Indresh Sharma Ji. The event was graced by the presence of Swami Sajjananand Ji, Sadhvi Shankarpreeta Bharti Ji, Sadhvi Rajwant Bharti Ji, and other respected saints, all disciples of Ashutosh Maharaj.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Sajjananand Ji stated that the Kalash Yatra was organized to spread peace, prosperity, and well-being throughout the city. He emphasized that such events not only promote spiritual awareness but also serve as a platform to deliver important social messages, including de-addiction and moral awakening.
After the rituals, the procession officially began with the breaking of a coconut and the hoisting of a ceremonial flag. Starting from Roshan Ground, the yatra passed through the main streets of the city. A beautifully decorated chariot depicting Lord Krishna became a major attraction, while women dressed in yellow sarees carried sacred pots on their heads, creating a divine and mesmerizing atmosphere.
The melodious sound of bands enhanced the devotional spirit of the procession. Several thematic presentations during the yatra played a vital role in spreading awareness. A balancing act performed by young girls highlighted the importance of women empowerment, self-reliance, and awareness. Another presentation showcased the harmful effects of substance abuse, encouraging the youth to adopt a drug-free lifestyle.
Arrangements for refreshments and food offerings were made for devotees at various points along the route. Volunteers from the institution ensured cleanliness and proper management throughout the procession, earning widespread appreciation.
The grandeur and spiritual aura of the Kalash Yatra drew residents out of their homes, and many joined the procession voluntarily, making it a collective celebration of faith and devotion.
The yatra concluded with the ceremonial installation of the Shrimad Bhagavat Mahapurana at the venue. Following the conclusion, all devotees partook in community meals served with devotion.
The event emerged as a unique confluence of faith, devotion, social unity, awareness against substance abuse, and women empowerment.
The auspicious procession was initiated by chief patron Manish Gupta and his family, along with Rahul, Dinesh Kaushal, Nitin Gupta (Nannu), Nitin Gandhi, Harish Anand, Harish Khosla, Lion Vijay Arora, Surendra Aggarwal, and others through traditional rituals.
