Bloodied pillow, twisted towel: Delhi priest's deadly secret exposed
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A horrifying incident has come to light in the Trinagar area of the national capital, Delhi. A man strangled his wife to death in the Ganeshpura area and then called the police. Police registered a case and arrested the accused.
The police received information about the incident through a PCR call. The caller told the police that his wife had died by hanging herself in a room on the fourth floor and the door of the room was locked. The police sent SI Vinay to investigate the matter. On the spot, the police found that the murder had taken place on the fourth floor of a four-storey house. The area of the house is approximately 20-22 square yards and it has a single room and a kitchen. 40-year-old Sushma Sharma was found lying on the floor in the room. There were no external injury marks on the woman's body. Her 11-year-old daughter was found sleeping on the bed in the room.
During rigorous interrogation, the man confessed to killing his wife. The husband told police that he killed his wife using a pillow and a towel. His wife always quarreled with him, which is why he took this extreme step. The accused husband works as a priest in a Shiva temple. The accused's younger brother, Ram Babu Sharma (the owner of the flat), was not present at the time of the murder. The accused had been living in the flat for approximately 12-13 years. Police inspected the scene. The crime team and FSL team collected evidence at the scene and initial investigation confirmed murder.
Police said a case has been registered. They are now trying to determine who else was present in the house before and during the murder. Police have appealed to the public and neighbors to immediately report such incidents so that timely action can be taken.
