New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Panic spread once again in the national capital on Friday morning after several schools in Delhi received bomb threats. The threats were sent via email, triggering anxiety among school authorities and parents. So far, three schools have confirmed receiving such threatening emails.

As soon as the information was received, teams from Delhi Police, the fire department, and the Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the locations. As a precautionary measure, school premises were evacuated and students were safely sent back to their homes. A thorough search operation was carried out, and no suspicious object has been found so far.

Jhandewalan school alerted authorities first

According to police officials, the first alert came from central Delhi. The administration of a school located in Jhandewalan informed the fire department at around 9:12 am after receiving a threatening email. Police teams immediately moved into action.

Meanwhile, another affected school sent messages to parents stating that a potential security threat had been detected in the morning, following which all students were evacuated safely. School authorities clarified that classes will resume only after security agencies declare the premises completely safe.

Repeated threats raise serious security concerns

This is not the first time schools in Delhi-NCR have received such threats, making it a serious concern for security agencies. Just a few days ago, 13 schools in Delhi received similar emails. Earlier, around 10 schools in Punjab and Chandigarh were also targeted. Last year, nearly 200 schools in Delhi and Noida received bomb threat emails at the same time.

Despite repeated incidents, the senders of these hoax emails are still out of police reach. The continued flow of such threats indicates that miscreants remain emboldened due to the lack of arrests so far. Police have stated that investigations are ongoing and efforts are being intensified to trace the source of the emails.
