Shocking daylight assault in capital: man dragged, beaten, car vandalized

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A video of an elderly man being brutally beaten in broad daylight, defying law and order in the national capital, Delhi, is going viral. This shocking incident is said to have occurred in Aligaon, South East Delhi. This incident has raised serious questions about the security situation in Delhi.

According to the police, on October 24th, the victim, Raghuraj, was driving his car from home to the office when a man named Mohit arrived with his friends. The accused first broke Raghuraj's car window and then dragged him out of the car and began beating him with sticks on the road.

Raghuraj suffered fractures in both of his legs in this brutal assault. According to police, the motive behind the attack was an old rivalry. The accused, Mohit, had purchased a plot of land in Aligaon two years ago and was carrying out construction on it. However, just a month later, the DDA demolished the construction.

Mohit suspected that Raghuraj had complained against him to the DDA. This grudge led him to attack Raghuraj with intent to kill.

A video of this beating, which took place in the middle of the road, is now going viral on social media. The video clearly shows how the accused fearlessly beat the elderly man with sticks. When bystanders protested, the accused threatened to kill them as well.

At present, on the complaint of the victim, the police has registered a case in Sarita Vihar police station of Delhi and is actively searching for the accused Mohit and his associates.
