Mathura (The Uttam Hindu): The Thakur Shri Banke Bihari Temple administration and the High Power Management Committee have issued important guidelines for devotees in view of New Year 2026. The administration has warned of an exceptionally large influx of pilgrims in Vrindavan between December 29, 2025 and January 5, 2026. For safety and smooth management, devotees coming from outside have been advised to postpone their visit during this period or travel only after assessing crowd conditions.

According to the guidelines, separate entry and exit routes have been designated inside the temple complex to control congestion and prevent disorder. Devotees have been requested not to carry bags or valuable items during darshan. Footwear must be removed only at designated points, for which special arrangements have been made along the main routes.

The administration has also cautioned pilgrims to remain alert against pickpockets and mobile phone thieves. Families have been advised to keep a slip with their address and mobile number in their pockets so help can be provided if anyone gets separated in the crowd. Considering the heavy rush, elderly persons, children, persons with disabilities, and those suffering from heart or respiratory ailments have been advised not to visit the temple during this period. Devotees are also advised not to come on an empty stomach and to carry essential medicines. In case of emergencies or loss of belongings, assistance can be sought at the lost-and-found center located near Gate Number Two and the nearby police outpost.
