Famous Multani Bakery owner folded hands in prayer before death, then jumped from 17th floor
Solapur (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has shaken Solapur, Maharashtra, where Sunil Sadarangani, owner of the once well-known Multani Bakery, ended his life by jumping from the 17th floor of Panash Apartments on Vijaypur Road. The 60-year-old businessman’s death has left the city stunned. A video that surfaced on social media shows him standing at the edge with folded hands, appearing to pray moments before the incident.
According to eyewitnesses, Sadarangani arrived at the apartment complex in the afternoon and chose to use the staircase instead of the lift to reach the 17th floor. People below noticed him standing at the edge with folded hands and immediately sensed danger. They alerted the building’s security guard.
The guard rushed upstairs, spoke to him, and managed to bring him safely down. However, after returning, Sadarangani reportedly told the guard that he had left his keys upstairs. Trusting him, the guard allowed him to go back. Shortly after reaching the 17th floor again, he jumped, leading to his instant death due to the fall.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving information, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem. The exact reason behind the suicide is still unknown. Police are questioning family members and close associates to determine whether stress, personal issues, or any other factors led to this tragic step.
