GAIL (India) Limited receives ‘Proprietary Member of the Year’ award at IGX Energy Samvad 2026

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): GAIL (India) Limited was honoured with the ‘Proprietary Member of the Year’ award at Energy Samvad 2026, the annual event organised by the Indian Gas Exchange (IGX). The event was held in New Delhi. On behalf of GAIL, the award was received by Mr. Sumit Kishore, Executive Director (Gas Marketing), from Mr. A.K. Tiwari, Member, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).

The award was conferred in recognition of GAIL’s continuous contribution towards strengthening the gas trading ecosystem in India and promoting a market-based gas procurement mechanism. During the event, GAIL’s significant role in the development of a transparent, efficient and robust gas market was also appreciated.

Energy Samvad 2026, organised by the Indian Gas Exchange (IGX), was attended by senior officials from the public and private sectors, policymakers, and experts from the energy sector. The platform witnessed deliberations on strategies and measures required to establish India as a major gas trading hub.
