Property Tax Discount in Delhi: Avail Up to 10% Off Before Deadline
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The 10% rebate on advance payment of property tax in Delhi has been extended once again—this time until 31 August 2025. Initially, the discount was valid only up to 30 June, later extended to 31 July. This marks the second consecutive extension of the benefit.
Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh stated that a significant number of taxpayers have come forward to pay their dues, and the municipal corporation has received an overwhelmingly positive response. Encouraged by this active participation, the deadline was previously extended to 31 July.
Now, in light of the continued enthusiasm from taxpayers and the growing success of the ‘Suniyo Yojana 2025-26’, the discount period has been further extended by another month.
Standing Committee Chairperson Satya Sharma added that both the Suniyo scheme and the 10% rebate are gaining popularity and contributing to higher revenue collection for the corporation. The extension aims to maintain this momentum and encourage more citizens to take advantage of the benefit before the new deadline.
