20-year-old youth brutally murdered inside government school in Gurugram
A 20-year-old youth was brutally murdered inside a Gurugram school, allegedly hit with a heavy object.
Gurugram (The Uttam Hindu) : A sensation erupted at a government school in Helimundi, Gurugram, Haryana on Friday morning when the blood-soaked body of a young man was found inside the school premises. Upon receiving the news of the incident the education department and police administration were shaken.
When teachers and other staff at the Government Secondary School, Helimundi, arrived on Friday morning, they found the body of a young man lying on the floor blood splattered everywhere shocking the staff. The police were immediately informed.
Initial police investigations have identified the deceased as 20-year-old Ravi. Ravi was originally from Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. Police are currently investigating the circumstances under which he entered the school premises. According to preliminary investigations the young man was killed by hitting him on the head with a heavy object. Police have sealed the scene and a forensic team has collected scientific evidence from the scene. Police are scanning CCTV cameras installed in the school and surrounding streets to determine who Ravi entered the school with and at what time. Police are attempting to contact the deceased's family although they have not yet received any response.
As news of the murder spread, a large crowd of locals gathered at the school. School staff and witnesses are being questioned. Police are trying to determine whether this is a case of old enmity or whether there is some other motive.
"The body has been taken into custody and sent for a post-mortem examination. Given the seriousness of the case, the investigation is being conducted from various angles. The accused will be arrested soon."
