Dharmendra was known not only for his powerful acting but also for his large and illustrious family. The head of one of Bollywood's largest families, the Deol family, Dharmendra leaves behind two wives, six children, and a thriving family of grandchildren.

Dharmendra married twice in his life. His first marriage was at the age of 19, in 1954, at the age of 19, before he even entered films. At that time, Dharmendra hadn't yet become a star. He had four children with Prakash Kaur, including two sons and two daughters.
