Yogeshwar Dutt’s Wife Injured in Horrific Car Accident; Son Was in Vehicle Too

Haryana (The Uttam Hindu) : In a startling road mishap, the wife of celebrated Indian wrestler and BJP leader Yogeshwar Dutt was injured after the family’s Toyota Fortuner lost control and rammed into a tree near Panipat on Tuesday afternoon. Their young son was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident. According to local police sources, the accident occurred on the outskirts of Panipat while Mrs. Dutt was traveling with her son and driver. Initial investigations suggest the driver may have lost control of the SUV due to a sudden swerve, possibly to avoid a stray animal or due to speeding on a sharp turn. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree, causing significant damage to the front end.

Eyewitnesses at the scene rushed to help the occupants out of the vehicle. Mrs. Dutt sustained minor injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Her son, fortunately, escaped without serious harm. The driver reportedly suffered a few bruises but is said to be stable. Yogeshwar Dutt, who is also active in the political scene and currently campaigning for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, was not present at the time of the accident. Upon receiving the news, he rushed to the hospital to be with his family. Speaking to reporters briefly outside the hospital, he expressed gratitude to the bystanders who helped and thanked well-wishers for their support.

"It was a terrifying call to receive, but thankfully, everyone is safe. I urge everyone to drive responsibly, especially during these high-traffic days around election season," said Dutt. The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident. As election activities intensify across Haryana, the incident has sparked concerns about road safety and the pressure on political families constantly on the move. As of now, Mrs. Dutt is recovering well and is expected to be discharged within a day or two. No major injuries were reported.
