Successful conclusion of HackJKLU v5.0: A Greek-themed Hackathon with a special focus on innovation

Jaipur (The Uttam Hindu): JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU) has successfully concluded HackJKLU v5.0, its flagship national-level hackathon. This event once again demonstrated its pivotal role in fostering innovation, collaboration, and future technologies.

Over 400 students from approximately 40 institutions across the country participated in this hackathon. Set against the backdrop of Greek mythology, the event challenged participants to transform their ideas into working technical models (prototypes) within a span of 48 hours.

The competition placed a special emphasis on finding solutions to real-world problems across critical domains such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Data Science, and Financial Technology (FinTech). Students from diverse disciplines collaborated under the guidance of industry experts and faculty members.

The teams were evaluated by a panel of industry and university experts, fostering a strong synergy between academia and industry. Throughout the event, participants also received mentorship, enabling them to further refine and enhance their ideas.

In this competition, Team Mirage from LNMIIT secured the first position. Team Octane from JKLU took the second spot, while Team Neuronest from Arya College finished third. In addition to the grand prize of ₹50,000, special honors were awarded to winners in specific categories such as AI, Blockchain, FinTech, and Cybersecurity.

Congratulating the winners, Vijaysekhar Chellaboina, Vice-Chancellor of JKLU, remarked that the enthusiasm displayed by the students during this hackathon underscores how such events inspire the youth to think creatively and work towards solving everyday problems. He added that the country's youth are fully prepared to leverage technology to address both local and global challenges. To infuse this event with even greater vibrancy, more than 10 student clubs from the university organized a diverse array of activities, including dance battles, open mic sessions, musical evenings, block printing workshops, theatrical performances, immersive 3D virtual experiences, a gaming zone, a Red Bull F1 simulator, media-related activities, coding competitions, and—courtesy of the Astronomy Club—an observation session focused on the planet Jupiter.

During the program, a panel discussion was also held on the theme: "How to Evolve Education, Industry, and Research in the Era of AI." Furthermore, expert-led sessions were conducted focusing on High-Performance Computing and career preparedness within the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

YouTuber Kirti Purswani also provided students with specialized guidance on interview preparation tailored to the AI ​​era.

The Hackathon concluded with a live performance by singer Maan Panu, celebrating the spirit of innovation and collaboration.

Thus, through such events, JKLU is providing a platform for youth across the country to cultivate new ideas and develop effective technological solutions. The university is thereby solidifying its identity as a premier hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and future-oriented education in India.
