Haryana Model’s Boyfriend Arrested for Murder; Blames Car Crash Alibi

Haryana (The Uttam Hindu): A horrifying case has emerged from Haryana where model and music artist Sheetal was found murdered, with her body recovered from a canal near Kharkhoda in Sonipat. A day after her body was discovered with deep slit wounds on the neck, police arrested her boyfriend Sunil, a resident of Israna, who confessed to the murder.

According to officials, Sunil killed Sheetal by stabbing her and then pushed her car into the canal to mislead the investigation and make the crime appear as a road accident. Police said the conflict began after Sheetal found out that Sunil was already married. She had gone missing on June 14 after she left for a shoot in Ahar village with Sunil. Her family, worried about her disappearance, lodged a missing person's complaint at Matlauda police station in Panipat.

Following a search operation, Sheetal’s body was discovered and sent for post-mortem at PGI Khanpur. A case of murder was registered after the family’s statement. Sunil was later arrested near Park Hospital and admitted to the crime during interrogation. Police are currently searching for the weapon used in the murder and Sunil is set to be produced in court today.
