Land dispute turns violent: 1 Killed, 8 hurt in Karnal brawl

Karnal (The Uttam Hindu): A bloody clash broke out between two groups on Thursday over a land dispute between the villages of Mundo Garhi and Sadarpur in Karnal. Eight people were reportedly injured in the incident, and a 65-year-old man also died. Police have admitted the injured to a hospital, and some have been referred to Karnal for treatment.

According to reports, the land dispute suddenly escalated and a fight broke out between the two parties. There are also reports of shots being fired at the scene, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.

Following the incident, tension prevailed in the area. Three police teams arrived at the scene upon receiving information and are attempting to bring the situation under control. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment, with some seriously injured being referred to Karnal.

Police officials say the entire matter is being investigated and a clarification will be made soon. Police have been deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incidents.
